Articles Wanted for Aldersgate Papers

Posted by David McEwan | Uncategorized | Friday 12 October 2012 11:07 am

Dear Research Fellows and Members of the ACWR,\r\n\r\nBy now you should all have received your copies of vol. 9 of Aldersgate Papers with the redesigned cover and better quality paper, carrying articles from our Third Annual Conference, “Being Open to God’s Freedom.” I would like to get another issue out in this calendar year so that the September 2012 issue actually does appear in 2012!\r\n\r\nIt is our editorial policy to give priority to Research Fellows and Members of the ACWR, so please if you have anything that you would like to submit I would very gladly welcome it. I’d prefer not to publish articles by any one author in two consecutive volumes, however, if you did appear in the last issue and you would like to submit another article please do so with the recognition that it may be held over until 2013. Perhaps you have a friend or colleague whose work you could recommend and who could be encouraged to think of us. Keep in mind that while we do want to specialise in Wesleyan and Methodists studies we are also keen to publish the work that Wesleyans produce in any and all cognate disciplines, including biblical studies, ethics, philosophy, history etc.\r\n\r\nFinally if your institution does not presently subscribe to the journal could I ask that you recommend it to your librarian. We rely on a growing library subscription base to keep the journal operating.\r\n\r\nYours,\r\n\r\nGlen O’Brien\r\n\r\nEditor, Aldersgate Papers
