Tim Macquiban

Tim MacquibanTim Macquiban is a British Methodist minister who has served as circuit minister in Halifax, West Yorkshire, and as Tutor in History at Wesley College Bristol from 1990-93.

He was the first Director of the Wesley and Methodist Studies Centre from 1993-2002 at Westminster College Oxford (now part of Oxford Brookes University). He has taught Methodist studies and spirituality in institutions in USA and Malaysia and was a member of the Wesleyan Studies Group of the American Academy of Religion.

Most recently he was Principal and Director of Studies of Sarum College, Salisbury, an ecumenical college providing hospitality, learning and spiritual growth. He is Co-Chair of the Oxford Institute for Methodist Theological Studies and Vice-President of the Charles Wesley Society. His doctoral work at the University of Birmingham was on Methodist attitudes to poverty in British cities in the early 19th century. He has had many articles published in books and journals, including a number relating specifically to his doctoral work.

He is presently minister of Wesley Methodist Church Cambridge and Honorary Chaplain and Senior Member at Wolfson College.
