Dear Friends of the MWRC, Recent MWRC and related news:\r\n\r\nProfessor Richard Heitzentrater’s MWRC Annual Lecture on will be on Monday 13th June 2011 at 5pm. The title of his lecture is ‘“An Exact Image”: Portraits of John Wesley’.\r\n\r\nWesley and Methodist Studies vol. 3 will be published later this month. Amongst other articles the volume will feature five illuminating essays from an American Academy of Religion session on ‘Methodism and the African Diaspora 1738-1834’.\r\n\r\nThe MWRC and Oxford Centre for Methodism and Church History is pleased to announce that the volume ‘Religion, Gender and Industry: Exploring Church and Methodism in a Local Setting’ has been submitted to Wipf and Stock for publication. The volume consists of thirteen essays first presented at a conference of the same name in Madeley, Shropshire in June 2009, and is due to be published this autumn.\r\n\r\nThe MWRC has recently elected three new Honorary Fellows: Revd Dr Glen O’Brien, Revd Dr Calvin Samuel, and Revd Dr Ralph Waller. The lecture will take place in Lincoln College, Oxford at 5.00pm.\r\n\r\n
